What we accept in our Gallery
WE DO NOT ACCEPT ART IN OUR GALLERY. All art submissions will be declined. We accept educational resources only. Peruse our gallery to see examples. If you're not sure, ask! We are always available to answer your questions.

Suggest an Interview!
Picking the brains of successful artists, writers, and photographers is a fantastic way to learn techniques in building an audience online. We've interviewed quite a few artists and writers for your reading pleasure: build-your-platform.deviantart… Send your recommendations for potential interviewees to the group with a note, or send a note to RipleyNox
You do not have to personally know the artist! All we need is the name and a link. They don't have to be on deviantArt.

Welcome to our new watcher, Forru! We're glad to have you with us as we build our artistic careers online.

I've finished a little piece intended to help people get a temporary boost to their site traffic just before a big promo push. This is good for websites, deviantArt groups, or any kind of web property. I've created this one as a deviation so you can put it in other groups, since this is information that might be useful to their admins.

I think I'm going to turn this one into the next Cheat Sheet graphic once I've answered any questions you all may have about it.

How to get a traffic boost on your siteThis deviation was created for the build-your-platform group.
This one applies to artist and writer alike. We have no choice but to operate online now, and the barrier for entry is very low. This means that there's a lot of junk out there, and the people who are looking for your stories and art (whether they know it yet) need a helping hand to find you.
How it works
Following the below instructions you will temporarily compound the attention to your site. This will give you the spike in traffic you want just before a major promo or event. And it's not just for you - it will help every single person you've asked to participate and link, too.
The most important lesson is that cooperative sites are much easier to run and promote than competitive sites. Competition is not the way of the web if you're looking to get a few more eyes on your work. You have to collaborate by exchanging content with other sites, then linking them together and sharing eac

if anyone has questions, Comments, or something helpful to add, please leave it in the comments here or on the deviation.

Correct me if I am wrong, but wasn't the interview supposed to be up by now, or have you just not had the time to put it up?

Not sure if I ask my question here or if I should be messaging but, what are the general rules for changing the name of your story while you're still writing it?

And, what's the general rule on marking a work mature content? I ask because at some point there will be some steamy scenes and potential gore, but there's none of that yet and I don't want to be missing about on potential views.

Lastly, what are your thoughts on the heading to a story? I've seen people write just the title, all the way through which characters are involved, what it's about, really detailed. Not taking into consideration some groups guidelines, cause they're all a little different. What would be your recommendation?

So can I get some constructive criticism on my writing here?
